alright after a day of trouble shooting and some back and forth with ddm tuning's customer support, they narrowed it down to either a bad bulb or harness so they're sending me a replacement harness asap. the problem was when my bulb was in the down/low beam position; when i would hit the hi beam switch i would see the bulb actually rise to the up/hi beam position.. However when i hit the low beam switch again, the bulb would never drop back down, just remain at that position.
