Default Do I need to rejet?

Hello,

I chopped my exhaust can and for a better look, and I need to know if I will need to buy a jet kit. Everything else is stock besides the exhaust mod, which is actually a yamaha exhaust the previous owner put on. Seems to be running leaner than normal.

Thanks.

I have the same problem at the moment, I added a race can and K&N filter and now the bike hesitate a bit on acceleration and feels like it wants to stall sometimes, The best thing is to have it checked first (put it on dyno), it might only need fuel/air mixture adjusting, otherwise it might need a jet kit.

I know adjusting the fuel/air screw will change lower rpm response. Is there a trick to adjusting the screw because it is a bitch to get to. I bought one of these with the D Shape attachment to get to mine but is still a pain.

You shouldn't need a re-jet from cutting a can down.

You can also use a flat-head 1/4 inch drive attachment to adjust them on the bike by itself. If you do do it, I wouldn't go more than 1/4 turn more open.

Ok thanks. I will have to give that a try.
