Need to rejet bike help please
I bought a 93 back in march when it was warm. bike has flat spots all over. i am new to anything carborated. i am goin to buy a factory pro jet kit to put in the bike. no clue what to do what to use. tried looking at the carb jetting database and didnt understand. i live in vigina hgh humidity. temps from 40-95F. k&n filter with a stock length yoshi r&d slip on. can anyone help and or point me in the right direction on what i need to do??? thank you in advance J
i would suggest that if your not very familiar with carburetors that you buy the kit and take it directly to a shop and have them install it. there really easy to put in, but getting the needle position set and the carbs tuned takes alittle work.
well its really easy to do. buy the kit for about 130 and get on the forums and find out how to install it. theres really not much to it. 500 is way over priced for it to be done though. its good to do it yourself though so you can learn about the bike.
its 130 for the kit and between 300 and 350 for the work. if i have an idea of what jets to put in and needle position. stuff like that. but i dont have clue and no one in virginia has posted up their setup on the carb database
you might be able to call factory pro and tell them your wanting to put there kit on and see if they could tell you the best setup. i like more conservative for fuel economy. if nothing else you can just use good ole trial and error. but that gets time consuming

Once it's running good, then if you want to work on the jets, then you'll know if what you're doing is helping or hindering. Otherwise you may not be able to get the bike running right with dirty un-synchronized carbs. Just some food for thought.
