i would suggest that if your not very familiar with carburetors that you buy the kit and take it directly to a shop and have them install it. there really easy to put in, but getting the needle position set and the carbs tuned takes alittle work.

well its really easy to do. buy the kit for about 130 and get on the forums and find out how to install it. theres really not much to it. 500 is way over priced for it to be done though. its good to do it yourself though so you can learn about the bike.

you might be able to call factory pro and tell them your wanting to put there kit on and see if they could tell you the best setup. i like more conservative for fuel economy. if nothing else you can just use good ole trial and error. but that gets time consuming

Have you just tried cleaning the carbs ? If you're running the stock exhaust with a slip-on, then you really haven't done anything to warrant re-jetting. The K&N is giving you more air, but nothings been done to help it get out. My suggestion would be to get the bike running correctly with the stock setup (the slip-on doesn't really affect the breathing) by putting in a stock air filter and cleaning the carbs as well as synching them. The F2's and F3's run really well as a rule.

Once it's running good, then if you want to work on the jets, then you'll know if what you're doing is helping or hindering. Otherwise you may not be able to get the bike running right with dirty un-synchronized carbs. Just some food for thought.
