Default CORRECTION: Get regular frame sliders, NOT extended!

Hey everyone,

A while back I posted up advocating extended frame sliders. Well it turns out the morons I ordered my frame sliders from didn't send me extended frame sliders the first time, they sent me REGULAR frame sliders. I got the extended frame sliders recently to replace my damaged frame sliders, and sure enough they are humongous, and it appears blatantly obvious to me that they would cause more damage than good to a bike that went down with them on!

SO GET REGULAR FRAME SLIDERS!

PS: D2moto.com has a 40% off sale right now on them. $12.40~ for two frame sliders! Promo code: WS40

How/where did you install yours? Mine didn't come with instructions at all. Not really sure where best to put them.

Pretty sure they go on the front motor mounts. That's where I installed mine.

YES they go on the motor mounts. They do not contain the proper length bolts, so you'll need to get bolts that are approximately an inch longer as well. You will need to drill holes (ideally using a holesaw slightly larger than the frame slider) in the plastic to accomodate the frame sliders. Yes it stinks somewhat that you have to cut your plastic, but it looks good afterwards, and most certainly will save your *** in the event that you happen to go down!

Can either of you post up some pics? I know the current fairings I have are garbage but when I get new ones I don't want to hose those up!
