Default coolant overflow relocation snafu

My coolant overflow is underneath my seat between the shock and transmission (how it came when I got it). The old one was really really old and it cracked and leaked coolant pretty bad so I decided to replace it. The old bottle wouldn't come out with a fight ( including smashing it to bits with a hammer). Now it is time to put the new overflow back in the same spot and I fail.
It wont even come close to fitting, my only thought is that I could loosen one of the bolts holding the shock in place and lift the shock up and place the bottle in its area. My only question is that when I loosen the bolt holding the shock down, will it expand so I am screwed when trying to put it back in place?

Did you read the procedure in the service manual? On my F1, the shock must be removed to remove the coolant overflow and from your description I'd say the same goes for the F2. Unbolting the shock won't affect it, but you'll have to have the bike supported or the rear end will collapse.

ive been using spray on chain wax just like what I use on my dirt bike but my chain always looks nasty, might be time to break down and clean it :-(

I also relocated the frame sliders to the correct place, now I got some foot pegs for long trips.

Thanks for your help guys
