Default coolant overflow

I've had this happen twice within a couple of months of eachother. I would ride for about 25-30 minutes, then park my 99 blade. A few minutes later I would see coolant coming out of the overflow hose. Is that something I should be worried about or could that happen because of the hot weather? I live in florida, btw. Thanks.[/align]

I have never had this happen on my '96, but I live in "moderate" climate.

Was the engine is getting very hot like into the red zone on the temp guage? or was the coolant overflow tank overfilled?

As long as the temp guage is not hitting the red and your coolant as at the proper level I wouldn't worry about it.

Assuming that you've checked/serviced the cooling system when and if required and the fan is coming when its supposed to - hope this helps!

I had something similar on my 95 RRR went out for a ride 100k or so parked it on the drive the temp rose and the coolantpoured out from the system. so filled it up later that night and just let the bike run up to temp, saw that the temp rose after some time. when it got up close to the red expected the fan to cut in but it didnt the it vented all the coolant . (i had previosly worked on the headder pipes with a friend and he stripped one side and i stripped the other). so when i cheked the fuses for the fan it was ok i then cheked the spade conecters to the fan and low and behold the were just hanging there not conected.
they must have been disconected when we messed with the headders. reconected and ive never had this problem again.
did your fan cut in at any time prior to the discharge of coolant its a possibility and worth cheking.
hope this helps

Fan works the way it's supposed to. I think the coolant overflow is overfilled. I'm going to drain the coolant and refill it up and see what happens.

I live in phoenix and I have been dead stopped in traffic in 117degree weather <yes im that dumb. But my bike stayed normal and the cooling sys functioned as expected so I would be looking for a problem. maybe a bad radiator cap.
