Default Coolant overflow tank.

Would it be a smart idea to add prestone 50/50 coolant to the radiator overflow tank? Also does the radiator cycle coolant from the overflow tank? Righ now its almost empty, should I do somthing about it?

I check the radiator and its full to the top. I rode the bike for 50 miles the other day, 40 on the highway and 10 in the city and no over heating. the temp gauge got a little past the halfway point sitting at a traffic light for about 5 min but droped after I got going after about one mile.

I am new to the F4I so I dont know much yet.

If Prestone 50/50 is silicate-free & nitrite-free, you're good to go.

Yes, coolant is cycled from the overflow bottle. Make sure the bike is level & fill to the line/mark on the bottle. You want to keep that level on a normal basis.

Hope this helps.
