Default Clutch help.

I just swapped out my clutches and immediately having this problem and can't figure it out.

Ok, starts in neutral, but when I shift to 1st or 2nd with the clutch held in, the bike jumps forward and dies. I can put it back to neutral and starts right up, but when i shift to any gear the bike leaps forward and dies with the clutch in. Thoughts???

The clutch isn't disengaging - the plates aren't separating. Go back through and check everything, specifically the judder springs and the first couple of plates.

(Ask me how I know.) I had the same exact thing happen on the 600rr that I owned.

I thought I put it all back together perfectly. I don't know what I did wrong for it to be so tight. I will check again.

Would I maybe back out the clutch lifter bolts out a little to take the tension off or what if I don't find anything?

Took all the plates out and soaked them in oil and reassembled them carefully and adjusted the cables. Took me all afternoon with no avail. Scratching my head at this point.
