Carbs Filling Cylinders With Fuel
Hey guys, just picked up my first F2 the other day and I am trying to diagnose the carb issues im having. I have dealt with f1 carbs but never f2's.
My carbs seem to be spewing fuel into my cylinders at an alarming rate. I can dry out my cylinders for a while, install the carbs, she will turn over, then begin to die on me. I already checked all my needles and they seem to be functioning. I thought it could be the air/fuel mixture but that really doesnt make that much sense to me. After cleaning and reinstalling I could still HEAR the fuel leaking into the cylinders. when I pull the carbs again theres an ocean of fuel in my 3rd cylinder (cant really tell if the others are having the same issue. my 3rd cylinder locks up forcing me to dry her out again. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Besides obvious electrical errors causing backfires through the carbs (no damage done to the carbs) nothing else looks out of the ordinary. Prior to my cleaning I am not sure what went on inside those carbs, though they did look rather clean.
Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Are you using compressed air to clean the carbs along with carb cleaner? If not you need to get some to spray out all of the little passages inside. And definetly take a close look at the fuel needles, if they have a ring worn into them, you need new ones. ANd they need to be replaced as a set Needle and seat.
Also, have you checked the vaccum line on the petcock yet to see if it has fuel in it?
