Not 100% on the F2, but, most of the time you need to unbolt the caliper from the fork, then with a flat blade screw driver put it between your old pads and push them on each side to move the piston's back to allow room for the new ones. Then take out the pad pins, remove the old pad's and put the new ones in, put the pad pins back and tighten everything back up. As for the caliper being loose i'm unsure of that mine were tight without having the lever held in.

Brakes are important. It is crucial that they are done correctly. If you don't know how to do them, get help from someone that does or take it to a professional. It shouldn't cost very much, it's a pretty easy job and parts are fairly cheap. If you don't do the correctly, the crash can hurt and get pricey.

brake pads are not hard to change, just follow the instructions in the service manual. i replaced mine on my f3 in less than 30 minutes (front and rear).

as for the caliper, do you mean you can kinda wiggle or shake them once everything is tight?
if so then thats not good. the pads themselves should move, but not the calipers.
i had a similar issue with a caliper on my old bike, turned out to be just a worn out rubber grommet.

Also leave the calipers mounted on the forks and take out the plugs first then loosen the pins. Its like an extra set of hands and a whole lot easier to get those plugs and pins out.
