BrakeAway cruise control
Has anyone tried this product on their bike or have heard if it works or doesn't? I just called them and asked and all they could really tell me is that it doesn't work on the cbr because the brake lever doesn't work? I couldn't get an answer out of which year/model that was that they tried it on. I really would like a product that I could rest my throttle hand as it tends to fall asleep on longer rides which makes the trip unpleasant... Thanks for any input!
I've read people use them on multiple different bikes and all say that they somewhat work if riding on a flat road with no gusty wind but depending on the bike and how steep the hills are the speed can fluctuate over 15km/h which pretty much renders them useless. After all, all it does it wedges the throttle tube in one position.
What are other people using for "cruise control" on their bikes since it seems brake away isn't really that popular for this generation of bikes?? I need something to help my hand on rides... Or any other options I could try?
Sorry if this is too obvious, but have you tried a cramp buster? I do a lot of all day rides with dozens of guys and that's pretty much what everyone without a "real" cruise control uses. Effective and cheap.
