jet kits are about $100. But, I've read you can buy some small washers (Radio Shack) and shim up your stock needles. This will richen up your mixture. No one has said how many of the washers is the magic number, but in my jet kit, they added one washer. Maybe two would do the trick. Depends on the thickness of each washer. It works like the adjustable needles in the jetting kits.
Changing the pilot jet to richer will only do so much. It will help with starting and lean surge when cruising, but will not richen up your main jetting like shimming or re-jetting your carbs. You can also buy the next size up from stock(130) and try that too.
