Default '94 F2 suspension adjustment

I got this F2 in cosmetically rough shape but mechanically it checks out other than the suspension being way too tight. It barely even compresses and it decompresses really aggressively and tops out going over the smallest of bumps leading me to believe the spring for the swingarm is too tight. How do I adjust it?? Could it also be an issue with the forks?

Front and rear suspension need to be adjusted to your weight and riding style.
Stock is usually too soft for most people.
Your bike may have heavier springs in the front.
Or maybe the previous owner cranked the preload all the way up.
Or try gaining some weight.

Start with the preload. Back it all the way out.
There's a ringed collar on the rear shock and a wrench in the toolkit to adjust the rear preload.
On the front, you can use a open end wrench on the top of the fork to adjust preload.
It's round with 2 flat sides. Turn counter clockwise and it will get taller and show lines.
