Went to the track last night with my cbr600rr. Never been at the track with my bike before and my goal for the day was just to go 11's in the 1/4. I ended up only making 2 passes because I was satisfied with my runs, although I know I could've done much better, but I enjoy watching anyways so I didn't want to waste the whole night making runs.

My first run was a 7.64 @ 103.71 1/8 mile and 11.54 @ 122.95 1/4 mile with a 2.17 60'. My second run was a 7.50 @ 104.71 1/8 mile and 11.38 @ 123.64 in the 1/4 with a 2.10 60'.

I'm sure with practice I can get the launches much better than that. But considering I've never ran a bike at the track before and I just feathered the clutch and didn't do a burnout or anything I'd say I didn't do too bad. AFAIK my bike is completely stock as well.

 

Well, I had a helluva a time, ran 14's at the beginning, ended the night running low 12's and about 115 avg in the quarter. It was a great time, I bet some fast cars, and got my but kicked by some pro drag cars. My brother hardly took any pics, I coulda killed him...

I made about 45 runs for 20 bucks, can't beat that, had a ton of fun!

It was 100 degrees out, plenty warm...

 

they let you race other cars !? crazy .. the track i normaly go to has it to where its bike vs bike . no bike vs car .

 

Heck yeah, I was racing pro's, camaro's, trucks, some kid had a supercharged mustang that killed me too, it was very lax, but everyone was safe and professional. I would do it again for sure!!!

 

did they make you wear leathers, or were they good with textile?

 

The only thing they really required was a helmet and closed toe shoes and long sleeve coat of any type. I dressed well anyways. It was a killer time, the only thing that got me nervous is when the cars would drift a bit while I was right next to them!
