I did mine with High temp 1200 degrees paint and it worked fine.I scuffed the caes up and wiped it down then sprayed it silver. looks much better then at greenish color. The can of paint was like $5 something at Wal-mart.

I bought a new cover off ebay that some guy painted black for $20.
