Default 1988 cbr1000f

Just found out my old '88 Hurricane 1000 is up for sale due to previous owner in a bit of a jam. He's askin $1500 but proly would be willing to gown down on price. Since it needs some tlc badly. Got rashed a bit on the rightside, so would be needin a middle cowl repair or replacement & paint job most likely. Also needs rear tire, mirrors, chain & sprockets most likely. It was the one I had posted some pics of on here awhile back. The blue flamer as someone called it. lol! I'll try to get some current pics of how it looks now if I can. Our work schedules are opposite right now. So for now just wanted to throw this out there on for sale. Really wished I had the funds to buy it back. For sentimental reasons only. Had that bike for 17 years when I sold it last year in March. Hmm? Now the wheels in my ole head r turnin to maybe have 2 cbr's. First generation & 2nd generation. Btw the bike is located in southern Louisiana USA. Where humidity rules the land. lol!

Cool

Humidity is first & gators second. lol! Hi ya Pete how r things goin? Yeah, i'm thinkin hard about just buyin it back even tho its gonna need some work. Can always redo it. Just trying to figure when would I have the time tho. I barely get time to ride my '91 as it is but for wat I could proly get it back for is kinda hard to pass on. That $1500 price is nego. So if I came up with $1000 to $1200 he'd proly take it. Insurance would proly run me another $132 to $142 for the year in addition to wat I'm already paying on my '91. So I'm in my thinkin mode right now. Decisions, decisions! lol! Well back 2D grindstone lata Pete take care & have a good one!

Cool Bike is sold:

Hey guys just wanted to give a heads up on the '88 Hurricane it's been sold. I was thinkin of buying it back, but realized I barely have the time for my '91 I have now. So its proly better off with someone who is gonna ride it. Besides I got my 16 1/2 years of fun out of it.

u should get ur bike back man ,that hurricane is gonna be antique in the future..u can sell the hurricane unless if someone offer u 3 gran up then that's worthy. pricing a bike its not about how looks bad the bike is , its all about how old and the name of ur bike..

Cool

Nah, like I said I got my time out of it. Bought it way back in August '91 & sold it last March '08. Been thru hell & back on that old hurricane & I well but got my money out of it. Paid $1600 for it & sold it for $2400 16 years later. So I'm good. Besides I still got the heart of it. The original motor rebuilt with a bigbore kit in it wrapped up in plastic waiting for the right time. lol! My '91 is my current joy. I bought it from the original owner whom I use to ride my '88 with before I moved to Louisiana back in '97. It has almost 40k miles on it. The other one I had 78K when I sold it. Got quite a few pictures of both bikes through the years. As well as a few vids.
