thanks man....

i've since replaced that motor because it did have a clearance issue with repsect to piston/cyl wall gap. it wasn't out of spec, but it was on the line. it ran, it just had a bit of a noise. full power, no leaks, really reliable. everyone in my family thought i was crazy to go through all the work to replace it - but i'm ****. i wanted a motor that i wouldn't have to even think about for 50,000 miles.

i bought another motor that supposedly only needed a valve job - but that one ended up being completely useless (i made a seperate thread on that one - some of you may have seen)

so i put a motor from my other bike (the fighter) into it right now because it had no issues at all. i had been through that motor, everything was tip top - and i was modifying the subframe and other parts of the bike, so the motor was just sitting. seemed kind of silly, so that is the current motor in the repsol right now.

it's such a strong bike. i love it. i didn't want to get crazy with the mods and make it less functional. i can jump on that bike tmr and take a long trip on it if i feel like it without worry of anything going wrong.

thanks for the nice compliments guys.... all of you have great bikes. good luck

Thanks to all who voted! That is a great stable of bikes to go up against and was back and forth for the entire month. It is truly an honor.
