Hey Fox, that looks great. I would like to see your ideas in this format. This would allow for the main pic on top plus a couple smaller pics also. I love that "cbrforums" logo at the top. Also where you have "Bike, Owner, Screen Name, maybe add Location, and a small list of mods. The bike related dates idea is awsome too, it could have AMA race events, Motogp and WSBK U.S. dates. I also think it would be cool for each month the color match the bike featured that month like you did in you layout.
Jersey= red and white, with black wording
THEX= orange and black , silver
Madkawa= maroon & white, black
Ripper= maroon silver, black
Dragonium= black silver, red
Rampage= black red, silver
TPGPZ= black silver
FOX= just like you have it
Tk954= black red, silver
Recker=red white blue
NY Erion= yellow black, silver
Rsp919= white blue, red
Thanks, I made that a LONG time ago, and really only posted it up just to show everyone an idea that I had of consistency, instead of a calendar that looks like it was thrown together by 10 different people. A clean, professional look is what I'm aiming at.

A lot of what you described I had as ideas to begin with, so great minds think alike. But it all comes down to the pictures supplied. It's hard enough trying to get everyone to send in 1 high-resolution picture, let alone 2 or 3.

fox, thats a gorgeous calender man. the idea is awesome. i think id like to see the mods for each persons bike too. like maybe on the right side of the pic. dunno. but your concept rocks!!!!!!!!
Thanks man, definitely mods will be going on the calendar (maybe a bar along the side of the actual calendar). It'll look great either way.

I still haven't got pictures from the other members yet. In my own opinion, we should probably be designing a template for the pictures to be used in. Uniformity is primarily what we need. I designed a little something really quick to show what I mean.

The calendar wouldn't change from month to month (just the picture). The only thing we would do to the picture is make it look "better" by cleaning it up, color correction, and modifying license plates (if needed)

This is just my idea. Let me know what you think about it.
just a note you probably want the calendar its self to be some other color.. you know.. so you can write on it.. with out white ink..

^^ Yeah I know. But black just looks cooler............and the majority of the people don't write on their calendars, but rather to keep track of the days. But I hear you all. This is just a concept, the normal poster will have a lighter color for the actual calendar part so you guys can write all over it's beauty.

This is exciting! Due to my kind of bike being featured in the calendar (madkawa's), I just might buy it! But drop the idea of reminders for races etc. Don't get chocked now guys, but there IS actually a world outside USA, so what use is there to me to have my payed-for ROTM-calendar filled with reminders for US races and stuff? Moto-GP=OK but with hesitation. And holidays etc. won't work either, due to differences between countries.
But on the other hand, maybe you don't intend to sell the calendar outside USA, and in that case you can just ignore me...

I agree mikekop does have a valid and GOOD point, on the other hand however, the more you dilute it down to appeal to a wider audience the more uniqueness (customized look) it loses. You'll never make it appeal to everyone, otherwise there would only be 1 calendar design on the market. Also, I would venture to guess that 80% to 90% of the sales will come from the U.S. but personally even if I lived outside the U.S. and liked the calendar, having holiday/event dates on it wouldn't stop me from making the purchase. Much love to all the non-u.s. members, no disrespect, just saying if I thought 90% of the calendars where going to be sold in Saudi Arabia I wouldn't be putting babes in thongs on there either, ya know? [8D]

btw, having done many of these I guarantee you many DO use the boxes to write on and it's easy to make feathered opaque white boxes and keep the rest/borders dark (nothing to lose by adding it) but I'll leave that decision up to the powers that be. Since we're both on mac, if you need pre-made templates with boxes like that let me know and I'll be happy to email you a few. Whatever the decision, once again, good work!!
