All stators for Hondas are cheap compared to my buell. HD wants over $500 for a freaking stator.

I would look on ebay. Aftermarket stators are just over $100, not that much.

I do not know if the stators are the same, but be certain they are before trying it. If it's just a little bit bigger, wider, you will be shopping for a new rotor.

Have you unplugged the stator while the bike is running to test it using a voltmeter? It could be the voltage regulator that's bad.

Nope they are not interchangable. They are different part numbers based off of bike bandit....

I believe a 954 stator will work on a 929 but you have to also replace the stator cover with the 954 cover.

i got alot of bad feedback on an aftermarket stator, so that made me scared to buy 1. i jus dumped so much money in my 954 im tryin to not spend too much on this 929 & the cheapest oem stator i found is $300. so i was curious if any1 knew from experience on a good aftermarket stator & if they could send me a link.
we did check the regulator, my buddy has a 929 also & i plugged his regulator into my 929 & got the same result, must be stator!
im not gona mess with the 954 stator cuz if it dont work ill be spending a $100 on oil when i could jus put it towards a new stator, so if any knows of a good aftermarket stator send me a link.
thanx alot guys u ROCK!

Why not have the stock stator rewound? Custom rewind in Alabama will rewind your stator for just over $100. They are rewind the buell stators for $140 shipped and doing it in just a few days. Give them a call.

http://www.customrewind.com/

I'd still recommend testing it with a voltmeter before removing it.
