just got an 03' 954RR and it has no manual...was curious as to what the redline is on this thing?

I have only taken it up to 10,000 rpm. Some bikes show "exagerated" tach redlines, so didn't want to go any higher,

hitting rev-limiters gives me that "nails on the chalkboard" kind of feeling...want to avoid that!!!

Check the service manual (sticky thread) at the top of the 954 section....

 

really long download, and connection slow @ work...whats the highest YOU have taken it to then???

 

I hit 13 g's it was going ping ping ping , then slamed 2nd to about 12 at 109mph

I start to pop a little at 11,500 but the book states 12,500

 

trust me if u run ur bike to the rev limiter and get off of it, its not gonna blow the engine these bikes are mad to be rode to the extreme. if u really wanna find out what ur redline is, find a straight rode and start in first and roll till u hit the rev limiter. u should do around 85-95 mph when u hit it. cant exactly remember what it is but dont go off just the manual, all 954's are not the same so find out what URS will do. i wish i could say what MY 954's rev limiter is but ive been away from my 3rd baby for 9 months.
