Default What a beast the 54 is

I love my 54 as well as others do here. Been told by many people that it is a bike they want(ed) and couldnt find. She accelerates beautifully, handles even better, and looks sexy while doing it. There are several times where myself and my twin brother would be riding and I would tell him to ride mine just to see what she looks like with somebody on it(like myself) riding around. 27,xxx miles and theonly thing ive done to her is replace plugs and change the oil. Ive put just as much money into the bike as I bought the bike for (Aug 2005: 6,xxx miles, solid black, for $6,800). But here it goes again where I have to part ways with her and go back to the war. I feel as if ive only ridden her for a few weeks and ive only put about 2k miles on her since Jan 08. Im looking forward to buying her wave rotors, steel braded brake lines, upgraded clutch assembly, maybe a new seat, and possibly a new paint job(again!). As I did my last deployment, I helped out from another country and hadnt been around the bike in 15 months. I will be offline for some time in order to get settled in to my new home again(Wed is go day).

Take good care of yourself. Can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate folks who do the things you do.

I feel your pain brother. Not being able to ride for 15 months would drive me crazy. Thanks for your service. If it wasn't for people like you we would not have the freedom that most of us take for granted in this country. Come back in one piece. We want you to have many more years of pleasurable riding.

Best of luck to ya man. Stay low and get home safe. As said earlier you and others like yourself are the reason we can enjoy such freedoms as our beloved toys. God Speed to you my friend.
