Default Ways to Protect our legs from Frame Heat

Hi everyone...im sure all of you have felt the extreme heat where the portion of the subframe is under the seat.( the triangular part under the seat where there are two allen bolts). I know that as long as you wear pants you wont get scorched LOL! But sometimes it still gets extremely hot....

My question is, is there a way to protect us from the heat down there? Like a cover of some sort? Any suggestions, mods would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed it gets really hot. Hotter than my buell 1125cr, which is known to run hot. I have techspec gripster pads on the buells frame. They sell it in sheets, so you could cut it to fit.

Another option is adding some heat shielding to the inside of the frame. That's what I plan to do. I used dynamat extreme on the buell and it's holding up nicely.

fan switch. if i use it and get it on when i'm still in the 190's in traffic, i'm usually fine even in long stand stills.

radiator shroud too... but that's starting to get a lil too fabricated.

Thanks for the inputs guys...this will be a great addition to the options i can do.

i was also thinking of maybe installing a carbon fiber cover on both sides...would the CF also work as a heat insulator?

I would put some of the Techspec on the inside of the carbon fiber, but I would also look at cooling it better as you might start trapping a lot of heat in.

Actually it might, depending on what's going on. The BMW s1k's frame heats up, especially the left side. There are cf frame covers ppl have installed to get around it.
