typical 954 problems??
They will go though clutch fibers quite nicely if you try to run 9's on one. I think I'm on about my 28th fiber??[sm=innoc.gif]

I have over 33,000 miles on mine, a fair amount the hard way, and I have not incured any problems with it. I hope that you find one that you like. If you are dragging a knee, the seat problem is not an issue. hehe.

S%&ty part is my 3rd pass ever on a lowered only ZX10 was a 9.89.

look if the flapper and htev mods have been done.... i done these mods to mine, and custom tuned it too with a PC3, but it seems to stutter a bit

I am sure that my problem is the exception rather than the rule but at 15,000 miles a piece of my shift drum broke off and the broken piece of metal circulated through the entire transmission, rendering it pretty much useless. Had to get an entire new transmission (not in warranty). The dealer wanted $2,000.00, most of it in labor since the 954 does not have a cassette style transmission and the entire motor & swingarm have to be removed before you can crack the case of the transmission. Thank God I knew a bike mechanic who did the entire job for $1,100.00, but it's still food for thought. Bike was ridden pretty normal beforehand with NO wheelies, NO stoppies, and NO racing.Other than the tranny disaster, the 954 has been rock solid and continues to be that way with the new tranny.I still feel the Hondas are OVERALL the best literbikes out there. My bike started life as a track bike (yayyyy), spent about 5000 miles on the rear wheel, now gets brutely raped 1/4 mile at a time and still goes into second pretty smooth. [sm=partyparty.gif]
In 2 years of working at a Honda dealer I think I saw three 929 / 54 trannys need the gears back cut. Not a bad track record though.
