OMFG, I did 2 stand up wheelies last night - ran it in second gear at about 7000rpm, shut throttle off then instantly on the front fork rebound, cracked it right open whilst lifting the whole bike up by standing on the pegs and pulling up on the bars - the front went up much slower than a regular 1st gear mono, and standing up on the bike just felt so far king unreal!!!!

LOVE IT!!!!!!

Thanks guys, for all your help. Stand up monos are starting to feel easier.

Also, if you do monos regularly, as the wheel comes down, because the forks get worked so much, does that mean ultimately you stuff your forks up faster? Should I change the oil/springs/valves much more frequently than normal?
What is normal for those changes?

i noticed that my front faring and front fender were rubbing from slamming the front end down hard on wheelies so i tightend the preload up on my front forks a few turns but i don't think u'll ever have to worry about changing the oil...unless u do like 20,000miles a yr or something and keep the bike for yrs n yrs...also if u hit the gas again right before the tire hits it helps to not land so hard

The suggested technique of getting on the throttle then letting off allowing the front end to compress then getting on it again works! I did it last week on my 05 600RR! I can’t tell you what RPM I was at because at this point in my skill level the world is moving by to fast to even take a quick peak at the tach. I just hope it wasn’t to high because I am still in my break in period.

Yes it takes about 8k in 2nd = around 93 mph BE SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS! 1st 6k will get you up and moving very fast.My bike has a few mod but this worked even before the mod.
