Default Sprocket and chain?

Hello fellow firebladers. I am a new member and I have had my 954 for about a month now. I am trying to find out the pros and cons of going with a different sprocket and chain set up. I bought my bike with 13000 miles on it and it was almost completely stock. I have since put on a two brothers m2 flange on exhaust, double wind screen, new battery, rr bar ends, rr gel grips. I am also curious about the pros and cons of a power commander IIIr.

Thank you and ride safe.

Welcome, are you going with a gear change as well? I like the -1 and +2 but sometimes first is just to torquey. I sometimes jump straight into second from a stop and roll. What are your intentions?

The -1 +2 is what I am looking at. I am not looking to stunt. I just want something that will add a little more low end torque. I am a little concerned with unwanted wheelie's. Like in a corner or something. The bike has 13000 miles on it and it is the original chain and sprocket and it just looks like crap. So I am excited about improving the looks and adding some performance as well.

That will be a good set up, It will be touchy though. I have the -1 front stock rear and like it for the most part. Does everything i need it to.

if its rivit style and you want a clip master link you can pick up one at a honda stealership for about five bucks, just incase.

^replace that one when you get a chance. Just for safety. different links have different strengths and they also wear after time. Might as well get one that is for your specific cause, and if they are all the same, might as well have a new one for how cheap they are. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
