Default Slip on identification

I purchased this bike about a week ago and I'm trying to figure out all the mods to run down a problem. I have a low speed surge that makes off the line a little surgefull(? lol) and then up until about 6k it is choppy and a little rough. I have read a lot of threads and people seem to think it's either: Fuel pump, HTEV, upgrades w/o pciii, or the flap mod. If you can provide any insight let me know.

The only things I have been able to pin down performance wise are a K&N air filter, slip on and a 2hp oil cap

The guy I bought it from said it had full exhaust but I am 90% sure that's bs. I'm going to post some pics to see if you all can help me identify the slip on and reassure me the guy is wrong and its not a full exhaust.

Check this URL for pics, couldn't get them to upload here.

Also, hard to tell but the slip on is oval not round

Not a member of the site, so i cant get the full size pics. By the looks of it, thats a no-go on the full system......you can always start with tune-up procedures (spark plugs)

I agree with Pimpn! If it was a full exhaust it would have eliminated the htev. (I think).
I would definatley start with the basics, new plugs, oil, filter, check all fluids. Also was the bike sitting for a while before you puchased it? Maybe its has some stale or dirty gas.
Was there a PC on it before? I don't know if it would matter, but maybe he had a PCIII and took it out without de-tunning it before he sold it.

Have you checked your chain for bad links? Also check to make sure the chain is adjusted correctly. I had a similar problem one time on another bike and the chain ended up being the problem.

some yoshi systems where a 1/2 full system, ei hetv back. I had a rs3 yoshi that was like this sounded mean as hell. however I still had the hetv and stock header. but It was a good exhaust, shiney springs on the slip on sections and all on well they dont sell those too much anymore

ya, sorry about the pics, couldn't figure it out. As for the bike the chain is a new DID chain and both sprockets, but I will check for bad links just in case. I checked the slack and it was perfect. I've got the (retardedly overpriced) spark plugs on the way and I've done all the other normal maintenance stuff. Bike has 24k on it and I don't know about valves, there is no noise coming from the engine whatsoever but I will check their clearance in the near future. I'm not sure if the bike ever had a PCiii.

Let me know if you can identify the slip on, it would help greatly!

Thanks guys!

Thanks for the help guys

I agree, I couldnt find an exact match after looking at a million pictures. The Akra would be perfect if i assumed mine was shortened, which it doesnt appear to be.

i would say the htev due to it all stopping at 6k
i dont know what to tell you other than un hook it
wire it open like this, in the second pic there is a line at the top of the housing and one on the rotating valve make sure they line up when wired. that is 100% flow
