anything can be fixed, so forget the guy who said it isn't safe to be fixed. if you want to learn a lot about your bike and about mechanics, take up the project yourself. if you could take a bunch of pics and throw them up, we could help guide you through it.

conrice- thanks for the vote of confidence!

i will get pics up as soon as possible.. do i post to this part of the forum when i get them? besides the front end and sides, i'll do my best to get as many detailed pics, possibly a video up as well..

i think i am going to give it my best shot and fix it myself.. why the hell not?? right??

thats right, post it here. we're all 954 gurus here, and then you have the general tech section for when you need help with something in general. you could restore it or you can go fighter. with the internet (for info) and ebay (for cheap parts), its easy and cheap to do it yourself nowadays.

i've rebuilt/restored a 954 that had a trashed motor and a lot of other problems, i'm currently morphing my other 954 into a serious fighter. and i know there are a ton of other people on here that have done it. if something can't be easily fixed, there's usually a cheap replacement option online.

as long as the engine is okay (even if you need to replace a side cover, thats fine), and the frame is straight, you're good to go.
