Default Should I cut my exhaust?

Hey, I'm running a micron carbon slip on, on my 954RR and one of my friends is telling me I should cut it, I don't mind how it looks now he is saying if I can't it it wont lose any pressure and wont need a re tune I don't know if this is true. I'm thinking it may best to leave it so it passes inspection etc. Your takes. Thanks

Mine I've left alone. I like the look of cut but that depends on how much. If you cut say 4 inches..... your bike will be fine. Start cutting in half or making a nub out it...... not good.

cut it!!! it looks way better, and it's the end cap that creates most of the backpressure when you're talking about cutting. i mean, think about how long the exhaust travels in the tubes.... taking 6 inches away is immaterial to the length of the pipes when you're talking 5 ft.

I cut about 6 inches off mine, but mine was ridiculously long.

(Different bike) But you'll still gain looks, sound, and weight savings...

You'll really only notice the sound and looks, and wont lose any back pressure or need a tune (at least in my experience)

Would I like a PC and tune? Yes, but I dont think it needs it.
Your bike looks fine with or w/o it chopped, and I bet you would pass inspection!

I had my Jardine cut on my F3 and loved it but it was only a slip on. I can't see cutting the $1200 exhaust (full system) on my 954 that was engineered to be the shape/length/etc that it is.

Yea true but thats a lil different than just a normal slip on as you stated.

But imagine if you did chop it?? Thatd be sick it would (prob) sound deeper but who knows

Dude Erion Full exhaust!!! Thats sick!! Its a great sounding pipe as you know, it would def be deeper... I know mine is and its only a slip on
