Found this:

I'm not sure if I trust a used one, though, since this problem is common with our bikes.
Should I get the relay, too? Ugh. Guess I'd have to actually go out and actually check that.

I bought mine off of eBay for like $28 and it worked great. I just looked for a seller with good feedback score/reviews and one that appeared to be in good shape/low mileage. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work properly and your out $26. If it doesn't work as stated you can file a complaint and get your money back.

I was actually having the same problem then just replaced my stator ($135) on Sunday and all my problems have gone away. Without my stator working I think on short trips the fan was constantly running, killing the battery quick. On longer trips, the battery pretty much only ran the headlight, killing slower. Its pretty easy to take the stator out, I would do that and inspect all the wires on the back side (mine were all singed off)

The battery should die pretty quick with no working stator. It has to fire all the plugs, run all the electronic sensor plus the headlight and fan. checking the stator is easy. Just unplug it while the bike is running and place the leads of a multimeter between two of the three wires. you have to check all three legs, so if you label the wires ABC, then check AC voltage between AB/BC/AC. I don't know the specs for this bike, but you should see 15-20VAC at idle and 40+ at 3-5000rpms.
