Repsol Build
hey guys, about a month ago, i bout a 954 that had blown a few gears. i rebuilt the engine and made the bike into a repsol. let me know what you think. the bike cost us $2000 and we put about $1000 into it (engine parts, fairings, painting, powder coating, etc.). it runs really strong, can't wait to break it in a bit more and really get on it.
1. tearing the bike apart
2. chewed up gears inside
3. engine assembly
4. fully refurbished engine
5. repsol

i don't know of any reputable shops around me that could do that. i'm just doin' it the old fashioned way, takin' it easy, dino oil, short shifting at 4k, etc.
edit - you wouldn't believe the sound that it made when i got it to run before we tore the bike down with those messed up gears. also, the oil strainer was almost completely clogged with shards of the gears.
