this is in resonse to tahoe ae.. if you a moderater why are you such an a-hole
it took me less than 10 seconds on google to find this and im not even searching databases perhaps you should search before responding with such a lame post..
i stand corrected and if your wondering about the honda oil i was informed of that when talking to eastcoastpowersports in delaware one of the most competent bike shops on the east coast.. so wise up im not here to impress anyone with my knowledge or repute what you guys post unless your grossly mistaken.

hahahahhha....what an idiot! you believed that GN4 is a break in oil? that's like believing the shop that told you GN4 is a break in is one of the most competent shops on the east coast...hahahha...oh wait...you believed that....

you don't get any points for sharing false information on this board...you do get a zillion points poser points for that bike of yours...

i said they are "considered" break in oils.. basically what this means is come first service stop using gn4. if you are still using gn4 then perhaps you need help

Thanks for the clarification.

For future reference, please don't bash or resort to name calling if someone's opinion is not consistent with yours. We not on here to change anyone's mind, but to get information we each feel is important out.

Tahoe AE

ok.. i did misread your post and yessss. i apologize . but i still see no reason for anyone to use honda oil. so i stick by that . i did talk to a rep from vp racing last year and he recommended slick 50 for my bike if you can believe that. that being said apparently one of his customers is using a rather odd oil. i figure for the price spend the money.

I use Motul semi synthetic 10w-40. The service manager at my local Honda dealer would happily sell me Motul full synthetic, but he feels it would not be worth the extra money.

look man if you are using a regular oil and have low miles on the bike then i would stay with what you got....when you get over 10-15k then switch to a synthetic blend....or a full synthetic....i had honda do all my services...switch to a synthetic blend at 8k then went full synthetic at 15k
