RE: PCIII - same for 929 and 954?
now for the correct answer!
if it will work on a 929 then it will work on a 954 and the other way around.
thats the simple answer, now then if its for a 929 and you put it on a 954 you have to run a 929 map in it because its a 929 power commander and the other way around.
now its actually pretty simple, you cut and paste say a 929 map on a 954 zero map setting and save it and the other way around.
its really simple im doing it with my 929, i have a 954 power commander that i had to load a 929 map in.
the 954 map have a little higher rev range in them but that wont matter if your putting it on a 929.

im not sure i understand your question but if it is what i think your asking then this is the answer.
no he shouldnt run a 929 map in his 954
what he will need to do is load a 954 map into his 929 power commander via a cut in paste method because the 954 maps will not just port into a 929 power commander
he will have to take a 954 map of his choice fromthe power commander web site and cut all the values and then paste them into a 929 zero map and save it to the pc3
now if he will be doing a custom map none of this matters because the programer will assign the correct values for any given rpm range
just a point
when i got my 954 power commander it had a 954 map already in it
i installed it on my 929
i gained an extra 25-30 miles per tank
it had no ill effect but i put a 929 map in as soon as possible, but that was like 3-6 months later i think.
