My suggestion to you is to make sure you are bleeding the brakes properly. The first time I bled my rear brakes I had the same thing as you,I had to press the brake pedal at least 3 times to get any pressure. The second time I bled them I kept bleeding til I got a hard pedal and make sure you tighten everything back up.Give that a shot and see if you get any results.
thats how my front brakes were after i let it sit for winter. i could squeeze them to the bars even with stainless steel brake lines.
so i bleed them...that was scary when i wasnt able to stop.. yikes.

If you can pump the brakes up then you have a small air bubble. If nothing, ever, then LOTS of air or the MC is kaput.
Bleed the brakes, properly, if nothing then rebuild or replace. I have a rear brake system for sale. PM me if needed.
