newbie exhaust question
I just found this sight and am very happy to be here.
I bought my bike last year and now want to upgrade the pipe. I plan on taking it the track this summer and want to get the most from the upgrade. I am not concerned so much withhow itsounds on the street as much as getting the most performance from the upgrade.
Arata, Yoshimura, akrapovic have been suggested.
I have looked on some of the other posts and it seems that opinionsvary, and are many.
If you race your 954, what do you have bolted on?
If you have experience wrenching voice your opinion please too.

Pick whatever muffler you like the sound of, they dont really do anything for performance. If you want to beef up your performance and hp you can either A: get a full exhaust. or B: get a slip on and a hass eliminator. With either of these you will want to get a power commander, race air filter, and a dyno tune. So either way you go figure on spending a good grand plus. As far as any wrenching goes, all of the mods i listed are very easy to do.
Go to YouTube or Google Video and just search for 954 exhaust.. that way you can listen and see the different pipes as they are. I had D&D on my 954 and I have D&D on my 1000RR... because I loves attention
