I look at the radiator and headers. Nobody replaces those and they will show signs of high mileage.

The bike I just bought has 3785 miles, 1 owner and i believe that to be true. Guy bought it for his son to ride while attending college, but i'm sure he had a car as well. Guy played college football and then went to medical school, so he really didn't have time to ride it.

Is there a automotive oil filter that works on the 954?

I own a 954 with 1273 original miles from my father. He rod it around the block, never changed oil, broke it in to 900 and never changed a thing. The stuff is absolutely stock and it took me w month to replace all fluids. Even tires were from 2002 April 16. These things aren’t a big worry often they were left in the garage and never moved. I highly doubt they would change the mileage down.
