Default Lovin' a 954rr...

Alright, I've had the 954 for several weeks now and I am really enjoying the bike... After a few hundred miles, the muscle memory has returned and it almost feels like I had been riding all along... My last bike was a mid 80's Honda Interceptor and was a great bike... but this 954 is so much more... It feels nimble like a 600 and goes like a 1000... In the bends it feels like it turns itself and I'm only thinking my way around corners... The 954 accelerates like crazy (given my conservative riding style) It gives me all the throttle I ask for and beckons me to twist harder... I could never ride this bike to it's full potential... At least not anytime soon...

My thoughts on the 954 are very similar to yours, I've had mine about 6months now and I've just put a set of Pirelli rosso 2s on it and I'm even happier than before. The only problem with my 918 Blade was buying tyres, I've got the right size wheel and the right tyres now, just waiting for the new stator to arrive from the USA now (cos the UK's part took 2 weeks to get here and didn't f***ing fit!) Fingers crossed I'll be smiling wide again soon.

I've got the stator, a Corbin seat now and I've got 1 inch mirror risers on the way from Canada now so my Blade will be sharper than ever!

I got the 954 with roughly 26,800 miles on it and I put close to 400 miles on it... The guy who sold it to me took very good care of it, so it runs like a newer bike... Plus it came with some goodies... A PC3, Yoshi slip on, Steel braided brake lines, Flush mount signals, Short arm rear signals, Frame slider... and I got a Corbin seat and mirror risers... He also gave me windshield spikes and a set of Busa grips... And a leather Joe Rocket jacket...

How do the mirror risers improve you're rearward vision Rydna? Mine took a bit of fine tuning. I think the Corbin seat also acted as an "**** riser"

I haven't installed the mirror risers as I can just barely see past my elbow if I tuck them in against my gut a bit... As for the Corbin seat... I agree that it changes the seating position... It feels more comfy but I like to sit a bit more forward that the Corbin allows... So I put the stock seat back on and will save the Corbin for long trips as I do find myself sitting back and tucking in on the freeway...

I reckon the seat sits u a bit higher, but I can c a bit more with the risers. If I raise my arms and look through the elbow gap
