You didn't tell us anything about the R1 ??? The CBR is more comfortable but the R1 has it in the HP department by quite a bit. Wheelies on that R1 should be as easy as pie.

Does anyone else's bike lift up the front by hammering the throttle at 10mph in first? The 07 R1 I was riding sure didn't...
I'm too scared to hammer the throttle in 1st.

Take a picture of your rear sprocket.

Not an apartment! Say it ain't so, I hope your apartments have a garage for the bike. 4 bikes stolen in Gainesville, fl in the last few weeks, all from apartments.

Apartments with a sport bike is bad news if it stays outside. Better hope you have a garage or full coverage.

I do live at an apartment, but i keep it at my wife's mom's garage right down the street most of the time. Also, I live in west bum**** so theres not many people around anyways. I will try to take some better pics tomorrow and upload them. My phone one's don't do it justice. I have decided I am going with a black and red theme though. Over the winter, my friend and I are going to tear the bike down, get the swingarm powdercoated. Changing all the little tidbits to dark red. Any ideas on what to use to do the calipers? I don't want them to come out looking like crap.

Sorry for such a long wait! Been super busy with school, just started the long road to my Mechanical Engineering degree this semester. This is the third week I have had the bike, got it with 1661 miles on it, im up to 29xx miles. I've been riding it every chance I get and I am in love with it! So far, I have gotten a Yoshimura RS-3 exhaust, 8000K HID for the low beam, integrated tail light ( because I couldn't get it inspected). Doing an oil change on it this weekend and changing the license plate frame, and getting rid of that god ugly license plate light with LED bolt lights. I'm not very happy with the RS-3 exhaust though! It is barely any louder than the stock exhaust!

Thank you Dazed. Do you know if there is anything I can do do to the bike or exhaust to make it louder? I might sell it, and order a pre cut two brothers exhaust from the factory. Anyone know anyone who wants to buy an rs-3 exhaust that's been used for a week?
