Default Knocking and noticeable in lower RPMs

Sup guys I'm sure that this subject is already somewhere in this forum but I haven't had any luck finding it. I have a 03 954rr with a little more than 7k miles on it. I don't have any problems with it except for a knocking sound that sounds like its originating from the front of the bike, but I'm not certain about it. Because with my helmet on and the exhaust noise I can't really pin point where it's coming from while riding. The only upgrades done to my bikeis a devil exhaust, I haven't had a chance to by a pcIII yet but I'll be getting to that asap. I notice the niose when I am at a stop or when warming up the bike. It is not a ticking noise like most people describe from other cbrs but it sounds more like a hollow knocking sound only when the revs are low. And its not always on its usually like 4 knocks here or 6 knocks there it is not continuous. I love the bike but the noise is driving me crazy. Any help from any of you would be much appreciated.

how bad is the knockin? is it a tickin sound? is the devil system a full system/ 3/4 system/ or slip on? u say it sounds like its comin from the front have u checked where the headers go into the engine block to make sure there not leakin?

yea sounds like an exhaust leak....also if it does it at an idle then take your helment off, get off of the bike and look for the sound

I checked around the headers and didn't see anything. If it was an exhaust leak then what should I be looking for?

look at all your unions in the pipe for small cracks in seals......start at the headers and go to the end of the pipe...most of the time it is wear the pipe meets the mid pipe...
