just bought my first bike..
yup the dealerships screw you over hardcore.. i do go to a bike place in ct and they hook me up!!! if they sell a part i can get off ebay they will match it so its been really good....
well first thign first get it checked out by some one who knows their **** because if it was a crazy good deal u might not have gotten such a good deal as u think..... then learn to ride good before killing ur self because 929 and 954 are not forgiving for newbs because of the insane low end torque... then gl ridin 954 is not a good first bike at all.. ever.
just had it checked out by a friend that racing bikes and his sponsor and they said the bike was a damn steal. only thing it needed was a fork seal on the right side.. they told me to buy the part and they will do it for free....
i have a 05 gsxr 600 and i get bored with it andi dont think its much faster then my atv till over90 lol then the bikes a lot faster... i race atv's is why i think i find it easier then most people..

A bike that powerful is not recommended for a first bike, but oh well, you already bought it so why harp on it? My 954 was my very first bike as well. I have taken the course and rode safely 90% of the time. Just be safe man. Take your time.
check your tire pressure. That always seems to be overlooked, sometimes youll have a slow leak and its hard to tell a difference visually between 36psi and 15psi but it makes a big difference on the road.
