OK everyone I'm stuck, my son lost my key to my bike the other day and it's been so nice I had to ride. So I took my ignition out and went for a ride. I made it to a friend's house but when I went to leave it wouldn't start. Turned out I fried the resister in the lower part of my switch. I have called and stopped everywhere I know with no help please help me get back on the road.

 

It happened right after I got a new tank of gas (car also sat for 20 years from the guy I bought it from, thought corrosion could have clogged the pickup tube.) Changed 60+ year old sending unit, pump, and plugs, still no run. I saw the connector had fallen off of my ballast resistor, so when I went to reconnect it I saw the rod inside had snapped completely in half.
