RE: I need a front stand
I use Pitbull and I love it. I got the one that uses a pin that goes in the lower triple clamp and is very sturdy. They also have universal front stands that go under the forks but you can't take you forks off with that one. The one with the pin you can take off your forks and to me is a lot better.

RE: I need a front stand
Here is an unconventional approach that really works well...
locate 2 rafters in your garage roof and put a 500# lag bolt eyelet in each one (about 1-2$ eachat the hardware store) about 6 feet apart and perpendicular and centered to where you want to lift the bike, then put your bikes rear tire in a swingarm stand and use two ratchet straps to lift the front. The most weight that each eyelet be loaded to is less than 200#, I have been doing this for years. Make sure that you drill the smallest pilot hole possible for the lag bolt eyelets to ensure they have enough bite in the wood and make sure your ratchet straps are adequate for the load as well. If you have attic access you can do even better by looping around the rafter instead of using the eyelet.

RE: I need a front stand
I have used this method before and think that it is just too much work, no offense. I did this to change the tire on my old F2. I want to take both wheels off to get them chromed out this winter. I can't have my bike hanging from a rafter for a week or two. Just not practical for my situation. The pit bull stand sounds pretty cool. Anyone got a link for one that I can purchase?
