Default Stand for the front?

What's a good stand type for the front of our bikes? I was looking on eBay and there was a good BikeTek stand that goes through the head of the triple tree. I thought that would be nice and sturdy. Until, I saw that the damn air intake covers where the pin would go. So, what stand do you use for the front?

Well when I had to adjust the forks, I used a motorcycle floor jack. It lifted by the frame and headers. I don't like doing that btw and will prolly get a set of front / rear stands.

The DAI duct does get in the way of stands that lift by the triple tree. However how often do you really need to work on the forks? With that consideration when i buy a front stand, I'll look for one that has an adapter to lift by the triple tree when I need it (rare). And simply take the duct out when I do so.

I've got a set of stands that I'll sell you. Just contact me via PM if you're interested. I've got PitBull's that I use on my RR now and I had a different set that I used on my F4i that would work great for your F3.

Storing for winter, all you need is to get the tire off the ground so it doesn't develop a flat spot. A regular front lift stand will cover that. Get the adapter to lift by the triple tree and be prepared to watch it gather dust till that one day you need to mess with the forks
