Default how often do you guys change plugs/ air filter?

Like title said, figure im replacing a ton of other stuff, might as well do these soon as well. Was curious what plugs you guys are running and how often you replace em ... same for air filter, i hear BMC but have also heard of a loss of hp with out a PC ...

you guys have to have some exp with this stuff. Im used to carbed motors and have had the 954 for about 5k miles and have yet to replace said parts.

help needed, thanks guys

ps- i do alot of riding in colder temps (circa 40F for the season) not sure if material of plug would be influenced by this but then again that is why im askin, thanks again.

replacing plugs will never hurt.. go wit the stock NGK or see if "brisk" makes plugs for the 954 i forgot if so go with them.. also go to a local parts store for the plugs they wil be around 8-10 bucks.. dealership will be 17-20 a plug.. also BMC is a good air filter.. that or k&n but i woudln't do anything unless you get a programmer and a tune.. but always a good idea to replace air filter every season depending on riding style and location and milage

Regardless of what the manual says, surely a spark plug can make it more than 12k before it needs replaced. (Suzuki Manual) I am just changing mine now at 30K+. I clean the K&N air filter about once a year. Same with the 900RR, changed plugs at 26K and again, cleaned the K&N once a year.
I use NGK IR plugs for both when replacing just because they will last longer than others, another 40K before they need changed.
