no problem, just remember, welding (arc welding mig and tig) is essentially electrocuting the metals back together. that's how they generate the heat to "fuse" them which is around 11,000 degrees fahrenheit. that's quite a bit of "juice" you want to keep away from an ECU and battery.

I to have heard this is a problem with the 929/954 but if you put an after market stator cover on it won't break like the factory cover and keep your block from cracking. How true is that?

I really wish I knew that prior, Wish I read up on it before from other members or someone would have said something. It will save you a lot of headaches down the road if it's true! i hope this thing can be welded up with no issues! just seems like a process to unplug everything and prep it for welding. hope all goes well! I really enjoyed this bike.

i'd do everything for you if you were close.... (not the welding - i'm not that good yet, but i know of a place that could)....
