Default Holeshot Electric powershifter 2

Hey Guys
When I got my 954 a year ago there was a Holeshot elec shifter hooked up. I dont think there are all the pieces to it though, I really never bothered with it but last night I went to change out the sparkplugs and found that this thing was wired into the coil wire harness. Does anyone have this unit on their bike? Now the switch for it is located on the turn signal switch and seems to be inoperable. My other question is - Is there supposed to be something hooked up to the shifter? Ive been trying to do research on it, by looking at some pics it looks like I am missing something just cant figure out what it is. I have the box , switch and wiring harness but cant seem to see anything else mounted on the bike. Thanks for the help

I didn't know they made one for the 954 either.... I used to order stuff from Holeshot before (I had a bandit). They're pretty good about answering questions, so you might try asking customer service.

As far as the whole system, I think it works by a sensor on the shift lever that activates before you shift. I believe it just kills spark for your shift, so you don't need to clutch... in theory. It's possible that it grabbed the constant 12 volt signal from the turn signal wire (typically that wire is blue), and it would use that to power any circuitry required for the system.

All a theory, cuz I've never even seen one in person. Good luck!

Looking at the stuff on the site it looks like a air shifter but I could be wrong. it is their should be a servo on the shifter? But again I could be way off on this.
