Okay heres my issue. went to go start the bike today (as tomorrow is supposed to be 60) and it wont turn over. Fuel pump primes, lights all work, but when you hit the starter button all the lights go out and the relay clicks. Nothing more. I dropped started it with some speed and a clutch drop so atleast i know it'll run.

My question is do you think its the selonoid, the starter, the battery....ect

Sounds like the battery. charge it.

 

its been on a tender all winter. you still think its fried

How old is the battery? Is your garage heated?

Batteries don't last like they used to. My last new car battery only lasted 3 years.

 

okay heres the update. The dingbat that put my stator cover in didn't line up the idle speed gear (which attaches to the starter). When i started the bike, it slammed that gear into the housing and the starter locking up the starter (hence, unable to start). I ended up taking the stator cover back off, lined up the pin, and put her back together. Shes good as new. Too bad i bought a starter and a selonoid.....o well
