Default Head light dims?

Well I tried the search but it wont work so i have a question. I noticed tonight while out cruisin around that when my brights are on and I'm at a stop if I give it gas then it brightens up and when i let off it dims down, is it supposed to do that? Sorry if its a dumb question but I never noticed it to do that on any of my other bikes. It only does it when the brights are on not the running one.

Mine doesnt on the low beams just the high. I was just wondering if i was losing some power or if my battery was bad. So it is normal then?

when on hi beams, your headlight is using 165 watts (which is a lot, considering it's a bike)

if you roll around with hi beams all the time, it will eventually, slowly drain your battery, over the period of a few days or couple hundred miles (so either dont roll with hi beams 24/7, or hook up a battery tender every few days)

yes your headlights run off the battery, but they are also tied to the stator. so the stator is spinning more at higher rpms.
