Well, since I started riding almost daily now on my 600 I am really thinking about trying to save soem $$ over the summer and get a 954 at year end. I know now that everyone wants almost double what a bike is really worth. (see people wanting nearly 4 grand for older 600s here and like 7 grand for 954s) I thought that over the winter I saw most decent ones were in the 5k range (<6k) and was wondering if that is a decent price or morethe going rate year round for a decent bike minus spring hot season. -or put another way, what is a good price, what is a normal price and what is too high considering I already have a nice bike?

 

you can find decent ones as low as4gs...

 

My friend got his 03 954 for $4500 11k miles and pretty clean overall

 

Just got mine '02 7000miles really, really clean for $5,000

 

try and find one like mine if u r mechanicly inclined kid thought he was a stunter, wrecked it couldnt afford to fix it sat for 3 years then i bought it for 3500 and put nine hundred into so i got a 954 with 3500 miles on it for 4400 dude at the dealership said he would give me 6500 hundred on a trade for an 07 1000 rr so they are out there just have to look but they are going from 5000 to 6500 up here in philly with like 11k on them

 

I'd say 5k ish is normal. You can buy mine for 7 though

 

I know I over paid a bit for mine at $6800, but it is an '03 one adult owner bike with 6500 miles on it, COMPLETELY stock and in PERFECT condition, with all maintenance records on hand. I saw a few for less (generally in the $5500 - $6500 range), but they weren't nearly as nice.

I wasn't looking for a deal on this bike - it was exactly what I wanted, so I paid the price [sm=loveeyes.gif]

 

Nothing wrong with that, i actually paid a bit high for mine a few years back. Like is always stated, the bike is worth what someone is willing to pay for it

paid 6 for my 03 with 6k. extremely clean, yosh cams and full exhuast, PC3 dyno'ed, alarm, etc...
