This may be a stupid question...i didnt even think to pay attention when taking my rearsets off, i dont know if theres a certain position the shift arm has to be in. My bike is neutral right now. I think i know about where it should be...just wanna make sure i get it right. any info would be great.

 

put it back where its comfortable to you, like an adjustable set.

 

I am not sure about the 954 but there should be a dot on the shaft where the slot goes.
