fun race
Out on the interstate Friday, just cruising back to my house. had been on a long boring ride with my GF, and just dropped her off. There was no traffic out, which is rare, and I was doing the speed limit, which is rare. LOL up comes a shiny brand new corvette with a mid 30 year old guy and a pretty cute girl in it. he drops a few revs at me, and give me the lets race signal. I just shook my head at him, then he kept it up. his girl smiled at me, so I figured I would go ahead and do it up. I downshifted to 2nd, running about 65ish.. hammered on it, power shifted through 5th. Road was open far as I could see, maybe 2 miles… I am not sure what this guy had done to the vette, but I didn’t pull away like I assumed I would. I am thinking nitrous or super/turbo charger. I let off around 150ish and he SHOT by. He couldn’t have been more than a car or two behind me. I was very surprised. I guess he wouldn’t have called me out of he didn’t feel confident .
I went back by after we slowed down, and waved at his girl as I passed. ;-) was a good time.
